We have an exciting temporary opportunity for an Organisational Development and Talent Specialist to join our team until 31 July 2026. As part of our People, Culture and Development team, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our organisational capability and employee experience. You’ll lead initiatives that attract, develop and retain a talented and diverse workforce—ensuring Knox is a place where people can grow and make a difference.

Your focus areas during the duration of this temporary role will include:

- Designing and implementing early career pathways to build our future workforce and create meaningful entry points into Knox City Council.

- Building and embedding our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to clearly communicate what makes Knox a great place to work and to strengthen our employer brand.

- Developing Knox’s Talent Framework, creating a cohesive approach to talent identification, mobility and succession planning.

This is a full‑time temporary role until 31 July 2026 based at the Civic Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 7 classified role. Remuneration will be $110,732.77 – $124,189.64 (depending on experience) pro‑rate plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

What you will bring to this role

You’re a strategic and creative Organisational Development and Talent Specialist who thrives on building programs from the ground up. You’re collaborative, curious and future‑focused, with a knack for turning ideas informed by data into sustainable, people‑centred solutions.

Key selection criteria

- Demonstrated experience in talent management, ideally in complex organisations.

- Proven ability to design and deliver workforce development initiatives, talent pipelines or EVP projects.

- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

- The ability to source and analyse data to make informed decisions on talent management initiatives.

- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development or a related field is required.
