Columbia Aged Care is seeking a qualified Assistant in Nursing to join our casual pool for Chatswood and Strathfield Centre. The successful candidate must be able work at both locations as required.

About the role:

- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a sense of dignity and respect.
- Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to registered nurses.
- Assist with mealtimes, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition and hydration.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Participate in resident care planning meetings and follow individualized care plans.
- Document care provided in residents' charts accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in activities and social programs, fostering a sense of community
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, building rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have:

- A current Certificate IV in Ageing and Individual support or equivalent is required.
- Completed HLTHPS007 Administer and Monitor Medications elective is highly desirable.
- Full Time Working Rights in Australia
- A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check within 3 months, or ability to obtain.
- A genuine desire to work with seniors and improve their quality of life.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and families.
- Patience, empathy, and a compassionate nature.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
- Reliability and a commitment to high standards of care.
- Ability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
