Highly respected and busy Tier 2 builder is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join the team working on a $200M residential project located on the city’s fringe.

Must have solid Tier 1 or 2 experience on a similar size project to be considered for this role.

The company undertakes projects in a variety of sectors including health, education, residential, and commercial.

Responsibilities

- Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, and budgeting

- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for timely, cost‑effective delivery

- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and regulations

- Prepare and maintain project documentation (schedules, contracts, change orders)

- Managing commissioning and project completion activities

- Monitor progress and update managers on milestones and issues

- Coordinate with team members to complete tasks on time and within budget

- Track expenses and provide regular updates to managers

- Supervising a cadet and overseeing the QA and defects process

- Identify and resolve issues, escalating to managers as needed

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer on projects over $100M

- Proven experience working for a Tier 1 or 2 Builder

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field

- 4+ years of experience in project engineering within the construction industry

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

- Detail‑oriented with an analytical mindset

- Reliable references

- Must already be in Australia to be considered for this role

- Experience working on commercial type projects within Australia

Salary up to $230k. Package for the right person and will help with relocation costs if required.
