As a Men's Behaviour Change Facilitator, you willengage with men in a court mandated targeted behaviour change process to support immediate, short term and long term behavioural and attitudinal change. Through group education initiatives in community-based settings as well as regional prisons, you will provide culturally competent rehabilitation and reintegration services to male perpetrators of family and domestic violence. You will be co-facilitating group work sessions with another facilitator and role model respectful and appropriate ways of communicating and interacting with the ultimate end goal of breaking the cycle of family and domestic violence. The role also entails high level case note and assessment/report writing to the Department of Justice standards.

This is a full-time ongoing role based in Broome, working 37.5 hrs. per week.

Desired Skills and Experience

To achieve success in this role you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications and specifically a degree in a human services related field (a contractual requirement set by our funding body)

- Significant industry experience with specialist knowledge relevant to family and domestic violence including knowledge of intervention models appropriate to working with FDV perpetrators.

- Knowledge of the impact of family violence on adult victims, children, young people and communities

- Ability to facilitate and deliver community education and community development programs

- Excellent formal report and case note writing skills

- Experience working with mandated clients would be highly desirable

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, WA Drivers Licence and be able to obtain a Department of Corrective Services clearance.
