We are currently seeking a ***Project Engineer***to join our Fuels & Energy East Team. Based in Brisbane, Southbank and reporting to the Project Lead , this role is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of sustaining and minor capital project works as well as the broader line of business as required. **About the Role** * Establish & maintain strong, successful working relationships with our clients across all levels * Prepare and administer project budgets for the successful financial management of project cash flow requirements * Understand required project outcome for both UGL and our client in terms of safety, client outcomes, budget, and time * Understand and interpret contract documents * Select, procure, and manage subcontractors and subcontractor agreements, and manage progress and variation claims * Identify and pursue opportunities for improvement in the delivery process * Ensure compliance with all UGL HSSE policies and procedures as well as any relevant legislative requirements **About You** * Relevant Engineering Tertiary qualifications (Preference: Electrical / Control System Engineering). * Minimum 5 years project delivery experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Power Generation industry, Waste Water or Water sectors. * Project portfolio delivery experience in a brownfields Oil & Gas multidisciplinary capacity preferable. * Highly developed interpersonal, relationship management and conflict resolution skills, supporting your ability to effectively liaise, consult and influence a wide range of stakeholders. * Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels internally and externally. * Methodical and demonstrated ability to work independently, with discretion, to organise and prioritise demands, and handle complex tasks simultaneously, within a fast-paced environment. **What we offer** Diverse opportunities to grow, back yourself and achieve.
