Overview

Are you looking for a career step or a leadership position? We are seeking an Assistant House Supervisor to join the team in providing quality care for young people in our residential care homes.

As an Assistant House Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily care of young people, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development. You will step in to lead during times when the House Supervisor is not present and maintain a safe, healthy, and harmonious home environment.

Responsibilities

- Guide residential care workers, promote therapeutic care practices, and ensure the home runs smoothly.

- Provide strong leadership and apply learned therapeutic techniques to deliver high-quality care and a positive, supportive atmosphere for young people.

Experience and Skills

- Leadership experience across industries; ability to inspire and influence is valued even if prior experience in this specific industry is limited.

- Ability to supervise, lead, and support a team; demonstrated capability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

- Knowledge or willingness to develop knowledge of Aboriginal culture and values, and awareness of issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and families.

Qualifications

- A relevant diploma, including four (4) additional mandatory competencies (top-up units).

- A valid and current driver's licence

- A valid and current Working with Children Check

- A valid and current NDIS Worker Screening Check

- A satisfactory criminal history check

Location and Commitment

This is a full-time opportunity located in Hamilton.

What You Must Have

- A valid and current driver's license
