This is a Recruitment Pool for a Permanent or Fixed Term appointment at various hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

PositionProfile

The primary responsibility of the Clinical Nurse is to manage, coordinate and deliver comprehensive evidence-based nursing care for patients, using leadership and advanced nursing skills and knowledge relevant to the practice setting of the Emergency Department.

To be successful you will have:

- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the delivery of evidence-based nursing care within the relevant practice setting.

- Demonstrated advanced skills in planning, coordination and decision making, within the relevant practice setting.

- Demonstrated well-developed team leadership and membership skills.

- Demonstrated high level communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

- Demonstrates incorporation of quality and risk management principles within practice.

- Current knowledge of legislative and policy obligations for Nursing practice, Equal Opportunity, Public Sector, Standards, Disability Services, Aboriginal Cultural Respect Framework and Occupational Safety and Health, and how these impact on employment and service delivery.

- Demonstrated digital capability to enable access and use of available technology for safe patient care and information availability.

- Ability to work on-call roster as required.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at various locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WACountry Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program).

The Pilbara region includes Hedland Hospital, Karratha Hospital, Newman Hospital, Roebourne, Onslow, Tom Price and Paraburdoo Hospitals, Marble bar and Nullagine Health Centres as well as a range of Aboriginal Community Health Clinics, Community and Public Health Nursing services, Mental Health and Drug Services.
