Early Childhood Educator's - Diploma and Certificate III

Village Early Education Baranduda is a Long Day Care Centre located near scenic hills and farmland, approximately 10 minutes from Wodonga. The centre caters for 113 children per day across five classrooms, including a funded three and four year old kindergarten program, with an onsite kitchen providing meals for all children. We are looking for passionate Early Childhood Educators to join our growing team. With an extensive waitlist, Village Early Education Baranduda is the centre of choice for families in the region. You will be joining a team with strong family and community connections who take pride in the care and education they provide.

As an early childhood educator, you will work collaboratively with the team to deliver a play-based, child-led learning program. Key Responsibilities

- Implement engaging and educational programs tailored to the needs and interests of children.
- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that supports positive interactions and relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Observe and document children’s progress and development, and use this information to plan and adjust educational activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the center and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment.

Qualifications & Experience

- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
- Working with Children Check and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in an early childhood education setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Passion for early childhood education and a genuine interest in supporting the development of young children.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

- Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent), current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Emergency Asthma management training, valid Working with Children Check or VIT, and accredited Child Protection Training.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a Nominated Supervisor position or 5 years in a leadership role in early childhood services. Strong understanding of Child Care Subsidy (CCS), KIMs (Kindergarten Compliance), and compliance software is essential.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, manage staff, and implement high-quality curriculum. Experience managing budgets, occupancy, and ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in managing parent relationships, handling complaints, and leading staff.
