What you'll be doing

  • Delivering engaging and educational programs that support the development and learning of children aged 0-5 years
  • Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to play and learn
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and the local community
  • Documenting children's learning and development and communicating progress with families
  • Adhering to all relevant early childhood education and care regulations and Goodstart's policies and procedures
  • Actively participating in team meetings, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

  • Relevant early childhood education qualification (e.g., Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care)
  • Demonstrated experience working in a childcare or early learning environment
  • Strong understanding of child development and the ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and families
  • Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Current VIC Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one
