We are seeking to appoint an experienced Safety and Risk Advisor to join our Risk and Compliance team. This permanent position provides an opportunity to manage the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ensure the School meets all regulatory requirements related to occupational health and safety, and support the broader Risk Management Framework.

Fostering strong relationships across the School, the Safety and Risk Advisor oversees the OH&S Risk Register, manages incident reporting and investigations, and coordinates injury management and Return to Work programs. The role also involves gathering data from incidents, injuries and hazards, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to enhance workplace health and safety practices.

Full time or part time .8 options will be considered for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will have:

- Values of excellence, respect, responsibility and reverence
- Outstanding communication and relationship skills, marked by integrity and compassion
- Ability to deliver safety training
- In depth knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety legislation and current practices, especially in education-based context
- High level of understanding of OH&S Management Systems
- Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office applications, data management and reporting
- Excellent collaborative style and strong rapport and team building skills
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to prepare reports and correspondence
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in Workplace Health and Safety (required) and Training and Assessment (preferred)
- Relevant qualifications and/or training in child safety and wellbeing (or willing to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee) or VIT
