The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Building Surveyor to join our Launceston team to help our clients achieve safe and compliant buildings.

This role will see you

- Support our existing client base through sound technical knowledge and professionalism.
- Carry out regulatory assessments on all types of commercial projects.
- Carry out early phase compliance assessments and reporting through concept/schematic/design development.
- Assess project documentation against the deemed-to-satisfy and performance requirements of the Building Code of Australia, Act and Regs.
- Facilitate the preparation of Certificate of Likely Compliance, Occupancy Permits, Certificates and documentation
- Manage multiple projects from beginning to end
- Leading by example and assisting the development of staff, through growth, education and support.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders and provide technical assistance to our clients.
- Assist other staff members with building surveying and business development matters.
- Attend site inspections and design meetings as required.

What you bring

- Licensed or nearly licensed as a Building Surveyor
- 5+ yrs experience in a similar role is preferred, however we will consider all levels of experience
- Degree or Post Graduate qualification in Building Surveying
- Sound knowledge of current Building Act, Regulations and Building Code of Australia.
- Be well informed with Building Surveyors Code of Practice in Tasmania
- Demonstrated time management and organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong writing skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Computer literate.
- Current Driver’s licence.
