Responsibilities of the role
Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager - Major Giving, this collaborative role will drive revenue through building and maintaining strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals, as well as identifying prospective donors and philanthropic opportunities. You will be accountable for soliciting gifts, cultivating and stewarding a portfolio of high-value donors, and managing associated research, reporting, and administration.
Your delivery of high-touch, creative, and bespoke relationship-focused fundraising activities will strengthen our philanthropic journey. This role will also contribute to transforming MSFA's systems and processes and shifting towards a more propositional approach with donors.
Additionally, you will support the Philanthropy team in developing and executing strategies, contribute to discussions, and collaborate with the broader Engagement department to ensure the effective delivery of fundraising targets and initiatives.
What you will bring
As a donor-facing fundraiser, you will be confident in engaging with donors and motivated to meet fundraising targets. You will be eager to develop your career in a global humanitarian aid organisation and ideally demonstrate:
- Proven experience in relationship or campaign fundraising
- Knowledge of broad fundraising principles and industry practices
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication and social skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely
