Application Engineer

We’re seeking anApplication Engineerto deliver enhancements and 2nd‑level support across our ERP and connected applications/integrations. You’ll work end-to-end—from capturing business needs and designing solutions to configuring, testing, and deploying changes—while collaborating closely with cross-functional project teams and business users across the group.

What you’ll do

- Enhance & supportthe ERP and supporting applications/integrations (mix of BAU and project work).
- Translate business needsinto system requirements anddesignfit-for-purpose solutions.
- Configure/customiseapplications; write functional/technical specs; design and execute test cases;deploychanges.
- Provide2nd-level support: troubleshoot issues, raise and manage vendor tickets, validate and deliver fixes.
- Lead/work within cross-functional teamsto map detailed requirements, workflows, data flows, and specs.
- Applyanalytic methodsto diagnose issues, optimise processes, and improve stability/performance.
- Operate within project/supportgovernance frameworks—and contribute to their improvement.
- Balancelocal user needswith a group-widecommon operating model.
- Communicate proactivelywith users, vendors, and internal support teams; document clearly and share knowledge.
- Occasional international travelto group sites.

What you’ll bring

Essential

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Systems/Software Engineering, Analytics, or related field.
- 3–5+ years’experience working withERP applicationsin manufacturing, distribution, or trading environments.
- Strongfunctional understanding of ERP domains(Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing, Inventory, Sales, Purchasing, Fixed Assets, etc.).
- Proven experience withsoftware delivery practices(Agile/Waterfall), from requirements through to testing and release.
- High degree oftechnical aptitude and business acumen; outcome-oriented with sound judgement.
- Excellentcommunication and stakeholder managementacross teams, functions, and levels.
- Detail-focused, organised, and able todeliver on large projectswith international stakeholders.

Desirable

- Experience withEpicor, SAP, Oracle, or other Tier-1 ERPs.
- Exposure toSQL, C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, SSRS, REST APIs, JSON, XML.
- Knowledge ofnetwork concepts(cloud, LAN/WAN, subnetting) is a plus.
- Experience inend-user training.
- Additional languages (e.g.,Bahasa, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog) are an advantage.
