We are seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resource Adviser to join our team at Springvale, VIC. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in managing and supporting our people function across recruitment, employee relations, workplace compliance, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities
As a Human Resource Adviser, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Facilitating staff training, safety awareness programs, and employee engagement initiatives to foster collaboration, performance, and adherence to Rising Steel’s high standards.
• Reviewing and interpreting employment laws, awards, contracts, and workplace agreements to ensure Rising Steel remains compliant and competitive.
• Coordinating end-to-end recruitment processes, including preparing job advertisements, interviewing candidates, conducting assessments, and ensuring the best talent is selected to support our projects.
• Supporting workforce planning by providing up-to-date information on vacancies, staffing needs, and internal career development opportunities.
• Coordinating workplace consultative committees and encouraging employee participation to strengthen communication across all levels of the organisation.
• Assisting in negotiations relating to employment terms and conditions, while ensuring compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and company policies.
• Managing onboarding and induction programs, ensuring new employees are well-informed about workplace policies, safety standards, employment conditions, and career opportunities within the business.
• Advising managers on workplace relations, staff performance, disciplinary matters, and grievance resolution, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
• Developing and contributing to workplace relations strategies, enterprise agreements, and productivity-based initiatives tailored to support a growing steel fabrication business.
• Maintaining accurate personnel records and overseeing HR information systems to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 + superannuation
Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week
Qualifications and Experience
• A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (essential).
• At least 3 years of professional HR experience, preferably within construction, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of Australian workplace relations frameworks, awards, and HR best practice.
