Remuneration package valued at $168,946.00. This position attracts a base salary of $149,059.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation.

Responsibilities

This position would involve supervising the Mathematics and PD/H/PE faculty.

Lead curriculum development and inspire and build the capacity of teachers in Mathematics and PD/H/PE to improve outcomes for a diverse range of learners.

Build positive relationships and engagement across the school community to create a vibrant and positive school culture of respect and learning.

Lead, manage and implement whole school initiatives as a dynamic member of the school’s executive leadership team.

Qualifications and Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach Mathematics 7-12 and capacity and willingness to teach Mathematics Extension 1 and 2.
2. Demonstrated ability to lead curriculum development, with the ability to inspire and build the capacity of teachers in Mathematics and PD/H/PE to improve outcomes for a diverse range of learners.
3. Proven capacity to build positive relationships and engagement across the school community which helps to create a vibrant and positive school culture of respect and learning.
4. Demonstrated capacity to be a dynamic member of the school’s executive leadership team, to lead, manage and implement whole school initiatives.

General Selection Criteria

1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
