We are looking for a Venue Manager to join the team In this role, you will ensure the seamless running of the business operations in the most efficient and effective manner delivering the highest possible standards of service, whilst being pro-active in maintaining and/or improving turnover and profitability. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 45 hours per week based in Perth, WA.

Main tasks:

- Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure a seamless operation.
- Ensure that all staff consistently exceed customer expectations.
- Meet and exceed company profit margins by seeking to maximise revenue opportunities and minimise costs without compromising standards and customer service.
- Manage and implement all staff rosters to ensure that the restaurant operates in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure all customer requests and feedback, both verbal and written, are responded to promptly and efficiently.
- Control and monitor all wastage, breakage and keep within budgets set for ordering.
- Ensure staff monitor & control stock levels – daily, weekly and monthly ensuring there are no shortfalls.
- Ensure staff are properly trained in opening and closing procedures and that they are completed effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure daily checks of standards and cleaning for the whole venue including but not limited to; cool room, storeroom, office, bar and bin area.
- Review and communicate health and safety audit reports and initiate required action with relevant departments.
- Ensure that all governing or regulatory authority notices are acted upon immediately and rectified within 10 working days of the notice being issued.
- Recruit and select employees to the agreed staff levels using company recruitment methods.
- Manage all employee performance in line with job descriptions, giving regular feedback and appraisals.
- Lead by example and develop a motivated and high-performing team committed to delivering clear goals.
- Support, coach and mentor your team to consistently perform to their highest standards.

Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:

- Minimum of a relevant Diploma qualification plus minimum 1 year’s relevant work experience in the last 5 years.
- 3 years’ relevant work experience may substitute the formal qualification.

Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:

- Service oriented with extensive experience in food service
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- The ability to lead, supervise and train staff
- A strong knowledge of operational systems, processes and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including reportage skills, performance management skills and ability to liaise with all venue stakeholders
- Strong business skills with particular focus on percentages and margins, increasing profit and revenue streams
- Experience with till, end of day procedures, banking and financial reportage
- An understanding of current marketing and promotional avenues specific to the industry

Annual salary will be between $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
