About the role

The Team Leader Community Experience and Education leads a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing community engagement, education, and customer experience across Water and Sewer services. The role provides strategic and operational leadership to foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. You will guide your team in designing and delivering education and community engagement programs, stakeholder engagement initiatives, and customer liaison strategies aligned with the 3C/'s Framework – Customer, Cost, and Credibility. You will champion community-focused approaches and ensure services are responsive to diverse community needs. Your ability to inspire, mentor, and empower others will be key to delivering meaningful outcomes and lasting community value. This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Responsibilities

- Lead a team of professionals focused on community engagement, education, and customer experience
- Design and deliver education and community engagement programs
- Develop stakeholder engagement initiatives and customer liaison strategies
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Ensure services are responsive to diverse community needs

Qualifications

- a Degree qualification in Business, Engagement, Education or a related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role with ongoing professional development
- Proven experience in leading high-performing teams with coaching, development, and strategic direction
- Strong understanding of Human-Centred Design principles in community engagement
- Experience in the strategic design, delivery, and evaluation of programs that reflect customer values and community needs
- Background in community engagement, education, stakeholder management or related field, particularly in customer-centric environments
- Familiarity with IPART/'s 3C/'s Framework
- Ability to build and lead teams committed to delivering quality outcomes and continuous improvement
- Skills in data storytelling and transforming data into actionable insights
- Experience with survey platforms and survey analysis for decision-making
- Current Class C Drivers Licence

Salary and Benefits

- The commencing salary for this position is up to $110.9k per year. Opportunities exist to progress to the maximum salary of $128.5k on completion of assessment of skills and performance, plus 12% superannuation
- Permanent full-time role with 9-day fortnight
- Hybrid and flexible working conditions (2 days from home, 3 days onsite)
- Location: Wyong Administration Building
