Venues NSW is a commerically focused agency of the NSW Government, encompassing the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium as well as major sporting and cultural stadiums and precincts in Sydney, Olympic Park, Parramatta, Newcastle and Wollongong. The network of stadiums and entertainment centres host in excess of 5 million people a year at more than 500 events and is a key contributor to the economy.
Venues NSW takes an intergrated approach to our stadia and entertainment centres by developing partnerships with sporting codes, the entertainment and event industry, audiences, local businesses, NSW Government agencies and community groups. Our network throughout NSW allows us to combine internal resources and harness a vast employee skillset all of which helps us deliver key projects and secure outstanding content.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer – Construction Works and Services to join our Moore Park team.
Reporting to the Procurement and Contracts Manager, the Senior Procurement Officer – Construction Works and Services partners with project managers and business stakeholders to plan, source, and support the management of contractual arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business objectives. Venues NSW is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer with a very mature understanding of planning and sourcing of construction works and construction services in accordance with NSW procurement policy framework to join our team.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal applicant for this Senior Procurement Officer role will have the following experience, skills & qualifications:
- A wealth of experience in planning, sourcing (tendering), and awarding of construction works and construction services within the NSW Government procurement policy setting.
- Relevant experience with large infrastructure/ facilities with high traffic movement.
- Highly desirable you'll have a fluent understanding of NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework, Procurement Board Directions and Schemes
- Formal qualifications in procurement (i.e., Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Contracting) and/or relevant degree (such as engineering), or equivalent career experience.
Other requirements:
- Employees will need to be prepared to travel to and from business locations for tender site visits/meetings. Travel expenses related to work task and responsibilities are reimbursed to Venues NSW employees.
- Must attend staff training, workshops, and meetings as and when required.
- All staff are required to follow Venues NSW Work Health & Safety Policy and associated health and safety procedures as a condition of employment.
