The Opportunity

Lisson Manor Retirement Residences is an elegant community nestled in leafy Hawthorn. Working closely with the Community Manager and our small team, you'll lead the kitchen to success by providing exquisite daily meals and catering to residents in our community. We are a small team, so you will enjoy being hands-on, understand food safety principles and ensure sufficient supplies of goods & ingredients. Most importantly, you'll have a passion for our residents

This is a permanent full-time position working Monday-Friday 9.30am-5.30pm

Your Impact:

- Be responsible for all kitchen and dining operations - prepare daily meals for residents and creating fresh ideas to boost kitchen income
- Work closely with the team to deliver great service and ensure the dining room is running smoothly
- Monitor daily Food Safety checklists and ensure strict adherence to all OH&S policies
- Complete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendments
- Following up on day-to-day operational issues including adhering to schedules, cleaning lists and performance issues

What you'll bring:

- Experience as a Chef, Cook or Kitchenhand (e.g retirement villages, cafes, a la carte settings, aged care, childcare, RSLs or pubs)
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required)
- Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desirable)
- Kitchen management experience (ordering stock and admin experience) (desirable)
- Current Police Check clearance and minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
