About the Role
Are you a hands‑on, proactive individual with a passion for maintenance and helping others? We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Officer to join our team at BaptistCare William Carey Court in Busselton. In this full‑time permanent role, you will ensure our facilities are safe, functional, and welcoming for our residents and staff. Your work will make a real difference in creating a comfortable and supportive environment for everyone.
Responsibilities
- Perform general reactive and preventative maintenance tasks (replacing light globes, fixing railings, minor repairs, regular painting touch‑ups)
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds
- Liaise with contractors and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records using our maintenance management system

About You
To be successful in this role you should be a reliable, proactive individual with a commitment to providing high‑quality maintenance services. Your empathy, flexibility, and patience will help you connect with our residents and meet their needs.
- Previous experience in property maintenance or a similar role
- Ability to communicate well and respectfully with people from all walks of life
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working with Microsoft and online ticketing systems
- A valid driver’s licence and the right to work in Australia
