Overview

McArthur is seeking an experienced Project Officer to join a Strategy and Innovation team on a 12-month contract.

Our client is a highly regarded government agency recognised for delivering large-scale programs that drive improvements across Australia/'s health system. The team works in a collaborative, outcomes-focused environment where your contribution will directly support national policy and program development.

Responsibilities

- Coordinating project planning, documentation, and reporting.
- Researching, reviewing, and analysing information to inform program initiatives.
- Supporting procurement and contract management, including financial administration.
- Preparing and editing meeting papers, submissions, briefing notes, and correspondence.
- Providing secretariat support for committees and expert groups.
- Collaborating across internal teams and engaging with external stakeholders.

About You

- Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in procurement and contract management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Sound knowledge of the Australian healthcare system and an understanding of issues regarding safety and quality in health care.
- Knowledge of government processes.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (desirable).
