Forklift Operator Wanted Concrete Products

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our team involved in the production and distribution of concrete products. The role primarily involves loading and unloading concrete sleepers for railway lines, as well as handling other precast concrete products such as pipes, soak wells, and drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely load and unload trucks carrying concrete sleepers and other precast products.

- Operate forklifts (10 tonne or above) to move heavy concrete items around the yard.

- Assist in removing concrete sleepers from moulds and placing them in designated storage or dispatch areas.

- Perform general yard and housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

- Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance of forklifts and equipment.

- Work collaboratively with production and dispatch teams to ensure timely and accurate handling of products.

- Adhere to all safety and quality procedures at all times.

Skills

- Current LF Forklift Licence (required).

- Proven experience operating 10 tonne forklifts or larger.

- Previous experience working with concrete products or in a precast environment (highly regarded).

- Good understanding of load securing, weight distribution, and safe handling practices.

- Ability to work in outdoor, physical, and fast-paced environments.

- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

- Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling duties.
