What's the role?

Your next role as an Account Manager within the Hilti Energy & Industry team will see you having direct customer contact with the existing customer base and also a proactive role in identifying new customers. This role will focus on the Western Australian mining industry with a goal of making our customers more productive, safe and sustainable. You will be responsible for growing sales by developing customers, introducing new products and services, and implementing sales strategies with our customers in Western Australia.

What does the role involve?

The purpose of the role is to create value in the allocated account's portfolio through effective design and implementation of individual account strategies to build long term, sustainable and profitable relationships with the customer.

Your general activities include:

- Field sales and high-level customer consultation in the defined territory within the Mining industry.
- Performing customer calls as specified in the sales execution policy through pragmatic utilisation of time and territory management systems
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Negotiating trade agreements to secure and maximise profitability for the customer’s portfolio
- There will also be a requirement for regular travel to remote areas to improve Hilti’s coverage, penetrate existing Mine sites, and capitalize on construction activity.

What you need is:

- Previous experience as an Account Manager, Sales Representative or a customer facing role
- Experience working within the Construction and Mining Industries is advantageous
- Tertiary qualification is a plus
- Solution selling and customer centric approach
- A valid Australian drivers license
- Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM is desirable
- Motivated & capable of working independently, managing your own call cycle
- Strong discipline, with the ability to manage accounts remotely and build relationships
- Proven negotiation and influencing abilities with advanced planning skills
