Overview
Our client is a premium furniture brand known for delivering timeless, design-led pieces to the commercial architecture and design (A&D) industry. With a focus on quality craftsmanship, functionality, and aesthetic appeal, their products are trusted by leading architects and designers for workplace, hospitality, and residential projects.
An exciting opportunity is now available for a Business Development Manager to join their small, collaborative team. This is a part-time, flexible role ideal for someone with existing A&D relationships, a passion for furniture and interiors, and a drive to grow meaningful client connections.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and establish new relationships with architects, interior designers, and specifiers
- Proactively maintain and grow existing A&D relationships through consistent engagement
- Deliver in-person and virtual product presentations, with a focus on VIC and NSW (occasional interstate travel)
- Respond to client requests including samples, pricing, technical information, and project support
- Manage project pipelines and client activity using CRM tools
- Follow up on outstanding quotes and project leads
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth quoting, order fulfilment, and service delivery
Skills & Experience
- Existing network across the A&D industry
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role, ideally within the furniture, interiors, or design industry
- Strong understanding of the A&D sector and the commercial project cycle
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Confident presenting to individuals and teams across various project stages
- Self-motivated, professional, and able to work independently
- Comfortable using CRM and sales tracking tools
- Full driver’s license preferred
