An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Community Health Team in the Midwest. To be successful, you will have... - Significant clinical knowledge, experience, and leadership in Community health nursing. - Demonstrated knowledge of cultural factors and social determinants particularly relating to Aboriginal health. - Advanced interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills in a multidisciplinary team. Position Profile The Clinical Nurse Specialist – Community Health is responsible for the coordination of primary health care for vulnerable children and families within the community setting, collaborates and advocates with key stakeholders within and outside the region. Collects data and prepares reports for specific child health projects. Acts as a role model and consultant to nurses and other health service providers providing knowledge, clinical expertise and best practice within area of responsibility. This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted: - The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis. - Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. - Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/04/2026. The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives – across a broad range of patient-facing roles – on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations.
