About the Role
We are currently seeking an Alternate Project Manager to join our WA based Agnew operation. Supporting the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overall project performance, ensuring the safety and productivity of site personnel whilst maximising the utilisation of equipment to the highest of industry standards. This role reports directly to the Project Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a positive safety, quality, and performance culture consistent with the purpose, ambition, and core principles of Barminco.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to, Barminco’s clients and client representatives, employees, management, and supplier contacts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal obligations, including current legislation associated with mine safety, employment, occupational health and safety, licensing, etc.
- Management of site-based functions such as Maintenance, Mining Engineering, Diamond Drill, Crushing & Screening, as well as any other services undertaken in the contract.
- Financial management according to the contract and service agreement with our clients, including submission of progress claims and variations as required.
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
- A minimum of 10 years Underground Mining experience.
- Significant experience managing and executing Mining Contracts.
- Strong client focus regarding commercial, technical, and service delivery.
- Significant exposure to multiple operations in a mining organisation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk and safety management systems and processes associated with mining operations.
Qualifications:
- Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency or First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (desirable)
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) (desirable)
- Senior First Aid Certificate.
- Current and Valid Manual Australian Drivers Licence (C- Class minimum)
