Technology Operational Risk | Group Technology and Security

Our Technology Risk team partners with colleagues across Macquarie’s Corporate Operations Group to promote a strong, proactive risk culture and ensure a clear understanding of our risk management framework. We work collaboratively with technology and business teams to help safeguard our operations, supporting Macquarie’s commitment to responsible innovation and sustainable growth.

What role will you play?

As a Technology Risk Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders within the Global Technology and Security team to manage operational technology risks, with a particular focus on cybersecurity, technology infrastructure, cloud hosting, and personal technology. You will provide guidance on risk controls, conduct risk workshops and training, and support investigations into operational incidents, helping to identify solutions that prevent future issues. Your efforts will contribute to maintaining a robust risk culture and enhancing our risk management practices.

What you offer

- At least 3 years’ experience in technology risk management, technology audit, assurance advisory, or technology operations, ideally within financial services

- Tertiary qualifications in computer science, with relevant certifications in information security, IT auditing, IT governance, or enterprise risk management considered advantageous

- Practical knowledge of personal technology, infrastructure services, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity, including an understanding of associated risks and regulatory requirements

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and constructively challenge established practices

- Proven ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to new ideas and concepts in a dynamic environment
