What you'll be doing
The Director Operational Performance has overall responsibility and accountability for leading and supporting organisational performance improvement through business management, analytics, strategic financial initiatives, clinical costing, documentation improvement and clinical coding.
In this role, you will work closely with a range of stakeholders at an executive and operational level. You will engage with finance, operations, quality, strategy, improvement, and information technology as you identify, design, and develop initiatives that add value, drive efficiency, and reduce costs with the goal of long‑term organisational sustainability.

Selection Criteria

Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience including proven track record of senior management experience in the public hospital and health care sector. Finance and or commercial experience background highly regarded.

- Demonstrated high level project management skills, with a commitment to rigorous outcome evaluation and knowledge management to inform organisational learning and future strategic directions.
- Demonstrated experience in managing change and transformation on a large scale, including delivering change to a breadth of operations, technology, and finance stakeholders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and understand complex concepts quickly.
- Proven ability to hold those responsible to account to ensure operational needs are met.
- Excellent written skills, including the capacity to write a coherent argument, preferably with experience with writing Board papers, briefs and government correspondence
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated experience with designing and leading staff development and strategic planning activities to engage staff in setting organisational goals and priorities.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
