Programme Overview

Starting your career as a new graduate can feel overwhelming – but at Empower, we’re here to support you every step of the way. Our 12‑month programme provides a well‑balanced approach to your clinical and personal development and empowers you to make a real difference in people’s lives. You will be supported by peers and mentors working in a team environment, with a personalised growth plan, regular mentoring, learning modules and workshops at the core of your schedule.

The Graduate Program

Our dedicated graduate programme provides structured support so you can transition confident as a first‑year clinician and extend the skills you worked hard to develop at university. As a Graduate Physiotherapist with Empower, you will work with a variety of clients ranging in age with diverse needs and goals. We focus on delivering the best clinical outcomes for clients, aiming to improve independence, safety and wellbeing in their own environment. A graded caseload gives you time to develop skills in one area at a time.

- Fun‑filled induction and orientation – shadowing senior clinicians.

- Graduate growth plan – a clear, personalised plan of what you want to achieve.

- Comprehensive 6‑week induction to ease the transition from student to graduate.

- Weekly 1:1 mentoring for the first six months, followed by group mentoring.

- Monthly online professional development courses and clinical workshops.

- Access to a wide range of online courses through the Learning Management System.

- $1,500 external professional development fund.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent).

- Pending registration with AHPRA.

- Police check clearance.

- Valid driver’s licence.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong time‑management skills and attention to detail.
