Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Production, you will facilitate the safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing production plans aligned with short to medium-term planning targets, ensuring compliance with site standards.
As an employee at Gold Fields, all staff are expected to act in ways that align with and promote the company's values, safety culture, and performance, aiming to create lasting value beyond mining.
Work Schedule and Location
This role operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the Role
- Be organized and prepared to undertake all assigned tasks by the Supervisor
- Develop and implement weekly, monthly, and quarterly production plans in line with operational targets
- Ensure that stope designs and drill and blast plans maximize ore extraction and minimize dilution
- Lead and direct all members of the technical and operational mining team, ensuring clear communication of goals
- Inform the Underground Manager of issues affecting safe and efficient production through regular communication
About You
- Possess a BEng degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
- Proven underground hard rock mining experience, preferably in gold, with exposure to all production phases, including ventilation and drill and blast, ideally using longhole open stoping methods
- Have a solid understanding of machinery and maintenance of mobile mechanical equipment
