We're looking for a dynamic Supervisor Asset Management, Maintenance Engineering – Fixed Plant who will oversee and coordinate Asset Management Maintenance Engineering activities, ensuring equipment and systems perform at their peak while meeting all safety, quality, and compliance standards. This role is reporting into the Superintendent Asset management and is being offered on a 5:2:4:3 roster.
A day in the life may include:
- Assist in developing asset management plans and budgets aligned to operational priorities.
- Coordinate and monitor asset management programs across site operations.
- Ensure compliance with management systems that support safe, efficient, and standardised work practices, aligned with Newmont's vision and values.
- Contribute to the resolution of short- and long-term asset management priorities in support of production goals.
- Support cost control initiatives by assessing data and applying cost-effective asset utilisation strategies.
- Prepare and present detailed performance reports and insights for senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement, QA/QC, and optimisation across maintenance practices.
- Ensure team compliance with systems, standards, and governance processes.
- Proactively assess risk, implement mitigation plans, and oversee ongoing risk monitoring.
About you:
You bring a high level of technical competency, leadership, and strategic insight, with the ability to influence performance outcomes through data, systems, and people. You will hold a formal tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related) and have:
- Proven experience applying asset management best practices and standards
- Sound understanding of statutory legislation and regulatory compliance
- Advanced skills in managing asset management programs and maintenance systems
- Strong compliance knowledge and a high level of risk management capability
- Competent in report writing, data analysis, and performance insights
- Proficient in QA/QC processes and delivering continuous improvement
- Skilled in contractor and vendor management
