Support the development, coordination and delivery of whole-of-government initiatives that contribute to the safety and wellbeing of Tasmanian children, young people and families. The role undertakes a mix of policy, project and coordination work across the Keeping Children Safe reform program, including the implementation of the Commission of Inquiry recommendations and Tasmania’s Family and Sexual Violence Action Plan.

Period of Appointment

Fixed-term - until 18 January 2027

Hours per fortnight

Duties

1. Undertake research and analysis to inform policy advice, project design and program implementation in areas aligned with the Government’s reform priorities, including child safety and family and sexual violence prevention.

2. Support the coordination and monitoring of cross-agency projects, including the development and tracking of project plans, timelines and deliverables.

3. Liaise and collaborate with government agencies, the community sector, and people with lived experience to support evidence-informed and inclusive policy and project development.

4. Prepare high-quality written materials, including briefing notes, project documentation, reports, and Cabinet and Ministerial correspondence.

5. Provide coordination and secretariat support to project working groups or governance bodies, including preparation of agendas, minutes and action tracking.

6. Contribute to engagement activities that support inclusive reform design, including consultation with children and young people, and people with lived experience of trauma.

7. Support reporting, evaluation and communication activities to track progress and promote transparency in reform implementation.

8. Undertake other duties as required within the scope and classification level of the role.

A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or research experience to similar level.
