Legal Services Panel Contract Administrator

A newly created role has arisen to join the firm as a Legal Services Panel Contract Administrator.

About Us

Mills Oakley is a leading national law firm with a proud history spanning over 160 years. In that time, we’ve grown into a Top 10 Australian law firm by size while remaining true to our shared vision of exceptional client service with a friendly and collaborative ethos. Mutual trust and respect are at the heart of everything we do.

The Role

As a result of growth across our practice groups providing legal services to Australian Government clients, we have a new full-time role for a national Legal Services Panel Contract Administrator. This role will play a key part in the day-to-day administration of, and our compliance with, the requirements of the Whole of Australian Government Legal Services Panel.

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

- Coordinating, preparing and contributing to mandatory reporting, notifications and updates under the Panel agreement;

- Managing the firm’s account on the Legal Services Panel Portal including timely communication to internal stakeholders, on-boarding and off-boarding firm users;

- Communicating with relevant practice areas and partners about panel requirements, milestones and knowledge sharing; and

- Process improvement including development of, and contribution to, learning and development resources to support compliance with Panel requirements by administrative and legal staff and promoting efficiencies in client-specific reporting that is managed at a practice group level.

While our preference is for the individual to be based in Canberra, we are open to candidates located in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.

Who We Are Looking For

You will possess a strong understanding of legal practice support and the Australian Government legal services market. You will also need expertise working with matter-related financials and associated reporting and data analysis. Proficient users of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Planner and Affinity will be highly regarded. Contract management and account lead experience in non-legal sectors for large scale clients will also be highly regarded.

The role requires professionalism, sharp organisational and planning skills, initiative, and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You must be able to work independently while supporting multiple partners and government practice groups.

What We Offer

We take a collaborative approach to your learning & development, giving you the personal attention and unique opportunities required to help you realise your full potential. We are committed to your health and well-being and offer a multitude of employee benefits including:

- Dress for your day;

- Discounted health insurance;

- Employee Assistance Program;

- Discounts to gyms and studios across Australia;

- Study and exam leave;

- Competitive referral bonus; and
