Job Description

1. Help our customers through the selling and renting of musical instruments and gear
2. Assist customers to and from vehicle with rental gear
3. Define the individual needs of every customer and match those needs with the right combination of our products and services
4. Demonstrate recommended products to customers and explain their features and benefits
5. Answer telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
6. Follow up on product orders with customers and suppliers
7. Use our common sense approach with customers to troubleshoot and solve problems
8. Maintain in-depth and current knowledge of our products, policies and procedures
9. Attend weekly staff meetings and periodic training sessions
10. Merchandise store to create an inviting environment for customers to shop
11. Participate in store maintenance, warehouse duties, and other related tasks

Job Requirements

1. Must be a musician who plays at least one instrument
2. Ability to demonstrate and educate customers on basic PA setup
3. Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights and weekends
4. Troubleshoot questions over the phone and e-mail
5. Physically able to lift up to 65 lbs / 30kg
6. Excellent verbal communication skills
7. Positive attitude and steady composure
8. Proven strong work ethic and commitment
9. High levels of energy and enthusiasm
10. Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
11. Ability to recommend solutions in a confident and assertive manner
12. Good organizational skills and attention to detail
13. Previous experience in retail or sales is an asset
14. Experience with Digital Mixers, DJ equipment, and/or Lighting would be considered an asset
