You will lead the charge in embedding a risk-aware culture and deliver assurance activities that keep our operations sharp, ethical, and customer-focused.You are a natural collaborator who can navigate complex stakeholder environments with ease. You bring clarity to risk and compliance, and you are not afraid to challenge the status quo to improve outcomes. You are driven by purpose, detail-oriented, and always one step ahead when it comes to identifying emerging risks.**You’re a pro with:*** Knowledge of key regulatory obligations in the financial sector.* Building strong relationships with key stakeholders* Excellent time management, communication and analytical skills* Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs): facilitating, documenting, and linking risks to controls* Control design and effectiveness testing, including remediation and escalation* Translating policies into actionable procedures and monitoring exceptions* Risk reporting, dashboards, and governance support* Partnering with Line 2 risk and compliance teams* Assessing risk impacts of change initiatives**Qualifications/Certification:*** Tertiary qualification in business or related field (preferred)* Strong understanding of regulatory in the financial sector* Experience in a Line 1 or Line 2 risk role is preferredAt Heartland Bank Australia, we focus on providing Australians with specialist banking products that are the best or only of their kind.
