Jetstar has strong partner relationships with travel agents and other travel companies. We are running numerous projects to lift our technology capability to improve the effectiveness of these partnerships, and ultimately better service our end customers. These projects include new technology, and new processes/capabilities.
At Jetstar, we are seeking a Project Manager (Network & Voice) who will work with existing team members and partners, to define and manage IT project plans, oversee design, build, testing, transition, and implementation of network and infrastructure solutions for Jetstar.
The core responsibilities of this role will be:
- Oversee design, build, testing, transition, and implementation of network and infrastructure solutions
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with architecture, security, and cloud specialists to deliver business outcomes
- Track and regularly report on progress - benefits/scope, schedule and budget – take corrective action when required.
- Identify important dependencies and actively manage these to protect delivery.
- Mitigate risks and manage issues/blockers.
- Determine people and teams required to deliver project. Ensure that roles & responsibilities are defined and understood by people involved. Ensure that required teams are available to deliver to the plan.
- Initiate and run suitable project governance forums to provide updates and facilitate timely project decisions.
- Build and manage key stakeholder relationships, ensure stakeholders are kept up to date on project status and influence to achieve project outcomes.
- Manage vendors who need to contribute to the project delivery.
- Forecast project costs, manage costs to ensure that budget is achieved.
To be considered, key skills will include:
- 5+ years’ of experience as a Project Manager, managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Proven experience delivering complex network and infrastructure projects in large-scale
- Strong understanding of modern infrastructure technologies - Data Centre, Cloud (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), Networking, Unified Communications, and Cybersecurity
- Deep technical knowledge in network design, segmentation, SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and zero-trust architecture
- Experience managing managed services preferred
- Relevant tertiary qualification with a degree in Business, Technology and/or relevant field preferred.
- Experience defining project ways of working, and integrating various project team/vendor ways of working (waterfall/agile/etc.)
- Outstanding communication, presentation, leadership, and coaching skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Familiarity and experience with Agile ways of working (as some squads are using Agile)
