We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer SMP to join our team on an upcoming project in the Pilbara. This will be a full‑time opportunity on a 2:1 roster with 5+ months duration and the opportunity to roll across to other projects thereafter. The Role: - Provide technical support and guidance to the project team members. - Creating work packs, test packs; estimation & site variations. - Developing, preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the specifications for all equipment that is required for each stage of the construction. - Developing and monitoring KPIs and analysing productivity factors against program and budget. - Strong and effective relationship with the Project Manager and other participants on site in order to provide optimal levels of day‑to‑day assistance and technical support. - Manage all technical queries and requests for information sent to the client and received from subcontractors. - Contribute, as required, to the compilation of the project MDR and closeout of the project. About you: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar - Minimum 5 years+ experience in a similar role in Mining Construction – involving structural steel erection, mechanical and piping installation. - Demonstrated understanding of governing standards in Mining Construction particularly Australian Standards. - Experienced in managing, raising, and responding to RFI's and TQ's. - Good understanding of Mining Processing and equipment. - Contractor side experience in SMP construction projects. - Experienced in managing and developing QMP's, ITP's and FIC's/ITR's If this sounds like you then apply now, we would love to hear from you At SIMPEC we recognise that we are strengthened by diversity and pride ourselves on leading positively as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
