This is an exciting time to join NRW Civil & Mining as weare now seeking applications from experienced ProjectEngineers to join our high-profile Civil Projects on afull-time basis. The successful candidates will have an extensivebackground working within the civil industry and will beresponsible for assisting with delivering the project to itssuccessful completion. You’ll work closely with seniorengineers and project managers to deliver on time, within budget,and to the highest quality standards.
To be considered for this position as a ProjectEngineer you must possess the following as aminimum:
- Tertiary degree in Engineering or a similar relevantdegree
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer working withinthe civil industry
- Highly effective written and verbal communication andinterpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- MS Project/Primavera P6 software experience orequivalent
As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for; butnot limited to:
- Scheduling preparation, pre-planning and resourceforecasting for engineering and other technical activitiesrelating to the project
- Managing performance of subcontractors
- Reviewing all works are carried out as per project qualityassurance requirements
- Ensuring accuracy of financial forecasts in relation toproject schedules
- Reviewing NRW systems and practices to improve efficiencyin administration
- Ensuring projects are completed according to approvedplans
- Preparing, coordinating and monitoring assigned engineeringtasks
- Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QCpolicies, performance standards and specifications
- Liaising daily with clients to interpret their needs andrequirements
- Providing assistance to Senior Project Engineers and siteteam with technical issues to gain approval for designchanges
