A part-time position is available for an experienced veterinarian at a boutique, privately owned practice in the inner suburbs of Melbourne.

The successful candidate will work three days per week, plus one in four Saturdays. No Sundays, public holidays, or after-hours required.

Standard shifts at the practice are 8:30 am – 4 pm or 8:30 am – 6 pm.

This role will suit a warm, friendly, and personable veterinarian who enjoys working in a busy environment. The ideal candidate is someone seeking medium to long-term stable employment in a supportive workplace. They will be thorough, provide gold-standard care, confidently work up cases, and have strong general surgical skills. They should be a team player who can also work independently when sole charge is required.

The multi-vet team is a close-knit group that works cohesively, supporting one another to provide the best possible care for patients while maintaining a fun and positive work environment. The clinic prides itself on delivering high standards of care to its longstanding clientele, utilising modern equipment and up-to-date practices. Low-stress handling techniques are emphasised, and the clinic is working towards becoming a Fear Free Certified Practice.

Continuing education is highly encouraged to ensure the team stays informed about best practices in veterinary medicine.

The clinic is well-equipped with digital x-ray (general and dental), ultrasound, endoscope, PRP, a dental machine, vetome, panoptic, tonopen, in-house pathology, and comprehensive general anaesthetic monitoring, including capnography, pulse oximetry, blood pressure, doppler, and app alerts, all supported by dedicated manual monitoring.
