Salary: $82,000 plus 12 % superannuation

Our client DecoRug Holdings Pty Ltd., is Australia’s multi-award-winning retailer in floor coverings, providing the best products and service with operations in all states of Australia. Our clients’ network of retail showrooms nationally has an extensive range of carpets, floorings cushions and blinds and shutters.

The company leads the market with service, product range, systems, quality, innovation and valuable stakeholder relationships. The client is looking to fill a full-time position for a skilled and experienced Store Manager to contribute to the growth of its customer base.

The position of Store Manager will require managing the day-to-day operations of the retail stores in Masden Park and Prospect. This includes overseeing sales, customer service, inventory management, staff management, and ensuring that the store meets its financial targets. As a Store Manager, you will drive sales and lead retail team to achieve all aspects of the store’s performance, ensuring that every customer is given an outstanding experience.

The successful candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional customer service, have a proven track record of meeting sales targets and have experience in managing a team. You will need to develop a deep understanding of the product offering and use this to deliver value to potential customers.

The managerial and administrative aspect of your role will encompass determining product mix, stock levels and service standards, selling goods, maintaining records of stock, financial transactions and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements:
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in the relevant field
3+ years' experience in a similar role

In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Formulate and implement local marketing strategies and provide local feedback on pricing and product to Merchandise Planning and Buying team
• Create and deliver daily plans and strategies to ensure store & individual budgets/targets are achieved
• Maintain excellent store standards, including cleanliness and functionality of store machines/equipment and merchandising
• Daily management of stock to minimise out of stocks, stock loss and maximise sales
• Independently deal with all store and product related enquiries
• Manage, support and develop your team to drive performance
• Manage and prepare budget reports, rosters, stock take and ordering
• Deal with queries, complaints and feedback from customers
• Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales
• Maintain awareness of market trends and monitor competitors
• Maintain records of financial transactions
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Ensure a safe working environment – following all policies and procedures
• Determine special promotions, stock levels and service standards as per the standards set and policy established.
• Maintaining awareness of pricing of local competitors
• Liaise with top management on possibilities of pricing variations while ensuring profit margins are intact
• Initiating service changes to improve the business
• Conduct people safety and product safety audits
