Pathways Project Officer – Fremantle campus. Part-time opportunity (0.6), fixed-term contract ending September 2026. Salary: $97,647 per annum WA (Level 7) + 14.25% superannuation (pro-rata).

The University of Notre Dame Australia is a private Catholic University with over 1,000 permanent staff providing an exceptional educational experience to over 12,000 students across our Fremantle, Broome, and Sydney campuses, as well as clinical schools in Victoria and New South Wales.

Pathways offer students an alternative route to enter university. The Tertiary Pathway Program helps students build the essential skills and qualities over the course of the semester to successfully transition into undergraduate degree programs.
About the role
The Pathways Project Officer plays a pivotal role in connecting the Clontarf Foundation with the University of Notre Dame Australia. This position is focused on strengthening partnerships and creating meaningful opportunities for Clontarf students. The Project Officer drives engagement initiatives that support students' learning experiences and guide their transition into university study.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with Clontarf staff and University faculties.
- Plan and deliver engaging on-campus and outreach activities for Clontarf students and staff.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring financial accountability.
- Promote faculty engagement with the Clontarf partnership.
- Design culturally relevant programs for Clontarf students and staff.
- Support Notre Dame students as Clontarf Champions, developing leadership and mentoring skills.
- Guide Clontarf students through their transition to university.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- A Degree in a relevant discipline with at least 4 years subsequent work experience, or extensive project management experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Strong strategic and operational planning skills with excellent organizational and time management to deliver complex programs within deadlines and budgets.
- Proven judgment, initiative, diplomacy, negotiation, and discretion, especially when handling confidential information.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders clearly.
- High interpersonal skills to build relationships and foster collaboration internally and externally.
- Ability to develop innovative engagement strategies tailored to Clontarf students and staff.
- Respect for cultural diversity and ability to create culturally relevant programs.
- Ability to work independently within policies to resolve complex issues effectively.
