SustainHealth Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Director of Nursing and Midwifery to lead a regional health service in South Australia. This is an outstanding opportunity to drive clinical excellence, strengthen governance, and influence the delivery of safe, high-quality care across a range of acute, perioperative, community, and aged care services. As Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring optimal performance across clinical standards, workforce management, and service delivery outcomes. You will play a key role in leading cultural, operational, and clinical improvement initiatives while working collaboratively with senior executives, unions, and external stakeholders.
The Benefits
- Competitive salary: $156,000 – $166,000 per annum
- Permanent full-time position with strong organisational support

The role
- Hospital located in beautiful rural South Australia
- The facility has 39 public beds, 6 day surgery, 2 operating theatres, same day and overnight stay, consulting rooms, youth health and residential aged care with 41 beds.
About You
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife
- Extensive management experience in hospital or community health
- Strong leadership, governance, and stakeholder management skills
- Postgraduate qualification in management or health administration (desirable)
