About the role

Reporting to the Training Team Leader, the Education Officer is responsible for developing and delivering both internal and external education programs that drive attitudinal and behavioural change, supporting the prevention of cruelty to animals and improving animal welfare outcomes across the organisation and the broader community.

What we are looking for from you

- Design, deliver, and evaluate education programs that promote behavioural change and improve animal welfare outcomes.
- Use inclusive, adaptive teaching methods to engage diverse learners in a high-quality educational environment.
- Monitor and review programs regularly, identifying and sharing opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure the welfare of Education animals by adhering to all relevant policies and ethical guidelines.
- Contribute to a collaborative and values-driven workplace through effective communication and teamwork.

Recruitment Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Teaching/Education
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Current Working with Children’s Check (or willingness to obtain)
- A current tetanus vaccination (or willingness to obtain)
- Animal Handling and husbandry knowledge and experience
