Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term (Until February 2027)

Grade: VPS Grade 4.1 ($97,955-$111,142, plus superannuation)

Work arrangement: Hybrid working arrangements available

Location update: Commences at 530 Collins Street, Melbourne, and relocates to 465 Plummer Street, Port Melbourne from February 2026.

What you will be doing

- Manage a data processing operation focused on quality, accuracy and efficiency in data entry and enrolment processing in preparation for State Election 2026.

- Manage and appraise the performance of surge staff to meet increased demand in the lead‑up and during the election period.

- Provide information, instruction, and supervision to employees to enable them to work safely and implement appropriate actions to ensure objectives are achieved.

- Review and document procedures, tools, resources, and guidelines related to updating and maintaining the register of electors.

- Deliver structured training and advice to Enrolment Services Officers in pre‑ and post‑election processing requirements as needed.

- Coordinate escalation of issues in the enrolment space.

What you will bring to the role

- Experience in accessing and administering sensitive information in ways that are compliant with privacy principles and obligations.

- Provision of quality customer service, with the ability to identify and provide customer‑centred solutions using existing business rules.

- Ability to supervise a team by providing constructive feedback to drive individual and team success.

- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast‑paced business environment.

Additional desirable experience

- Understanding of electoral legislation and processes in an Australian jurisdiction, including the register of electors.

- Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to drive business improvements and successful delivery of services.
