About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in the corporate finance function in a role that directly contributes to strategic business outcomes. As Financial Accountant, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, driving governance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation of financial and management reports, annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Oversee compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and government reporting obligations
- Develop and maintain financial systems, policies, and processes aligned with best practice
- Drive continuous improvement and data-driven analysis to enhance decision-making
- Partner with senior stakeholders to provide expert advice and insights

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or Economics
- CA/CPA qualification (or eligibility)
- Proven track record in financial reporting, audit, and compliance within complex organisations
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing teams and performance outcomes
- Extensive knowledge of accounting standards, financial systems, and reporting tools

Desirable

- Experience in government or highly regulated environments
- Knowledge of SA Government financial frameworks and Treasury requirements
