Your new opportunity
We’re looking for a detail-driven and motivated Travel Accounts Officer to join our Finance team at RAA.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of reconciling and maintaining RAA’s Travel Trust Account using the Tramada Mid-Office System and Finance One. You’ll provide vital support to our travel consultants, ensure financial reporting is accurate, and help refine processes to make workflows smarter and more efficient.
It’s the perfect role for someone who loves numbers, has a sharp eye for detail, and is excited by the connection between finance and travel.
What you’ll be doing
- Reconciling daily bank statements, processing supplier payments and commissions
- Managing GST reporting and month-end close procedures
- Preparing monthly and annual travel finance/statistical reports
- Supporting travel consultants with Tramada financial processes
- Issuing agent error reports and assisting with financial training
- Identifying process improvements and keeping procedures up to date
About you
You’re confident, detail-focused, and proactive, with a natural flair for problem-solving and building great working relationships. At RAA, cultural add comes first – but to set you up for success in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- 2+ years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping or as a Travel Agent managing booking financials
- Strong numeracy skills, accuracy, and a love of process
- Solid knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and reconciliations
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Excel skills and fast, accurate data entry
- Experience with travel and mid-office systems (Tramada highly regarded)
- A Diploma in Accounting (preferred)
