Job Description
About the Role:
As the Resident Support Officer within our Retirement Living team, you will play a vital role in creating vibrant, connected and supportive communities. Through meaningful engagement, genuine care, and proactive support, you will help foster a welcoming environment where residents feel heard, respected, and empowered to enjoy their retirement years. By working collaboratively with team members, volunteers, and residents, this role helps shape a thriving community where people truly belong and live well.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide support to residents including emergency calls and equipment requirements.
- Assess and identify ‘at risk’ or vulnerable residents.
- Provide residents with resources and information to promote independence and wellbeing.
- Educate and support residents in accessing medical and support services including SwanCare'sonsite services.
- Coordinate referrals to Home Care.
- Engage with residential care facilities when a village resident is relocating to residential care.

Desired Skills and Experience
Key Role Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role in retirement living or a related sector.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering superior quality customer service.
- Ability to work unsupervised and collaboratively within a team.
- Permanent working rights within Australia
- National Police Clearance
