Southern Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our culinary team at Fusion 6 Flavours With a Twist (restaurant) and Fusion 6 Banquets (banquet hall), both operating from a shared commercial kitchen in Langford, WA. Responsibilities

- Plan and prepare a variety of dishes across restaurant and banquet operations, ensuring consistency and high standards.
- Examine food to ensure quality, portion size, and presentation meet customer expectations.
- Season, cook, and plate dishes using diverse cooking methods including grilling, frying, roasting, and steaming.
- Assist with menu planning and development under the directions of the head chef.
- Supervise and provide guidance and on-the-job training to the junior kitchen staff, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels, receive and store supplies, and assist in cost control through efficient use of ingredients.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet dietary requirements and special requests for functions.

Qualifications & experience

- AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery / Kitchen Management or higher
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a chef in a commercial kitchen
- Strong knowledge of Indian and/or fusion cuisine
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen compliance standards
- Excellent time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
