Job Description:

Medically Supervised Injecting Room (MSIR) - Practice Development Nurse

- Based at North Richmond Community Health Centre
- Permanent, Part Time, 32 hours per week

About the Role

You will design and deliver education, training, and professional development for clinicians and practitioners working within the MSIR, supporting high-quality clinical and harm reduction services. You will collaborate with MSIR Senior Leadership to identify training needs and implement programs that ensure safe and effective service delivery.

- Deliver Basic Life Support training to all staff, and Advanced Life Support to designated staff.
- Conduct training in overdose awareness and management.
- Coordinate mandatory training sessions for MSIR staff.
- Engage with external stakeholders to develop training opportunities and promote staff engagement.

Classification: RN35 ($122,907.20 per annum pro rata)

Your Contribution

- Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA.
- Degree in General Nursing.
- Postgraduate Qualifications in nursing specialty and education or working towards.
- Minimum 5 years critical care nursing experience.
- Proficiency in Basic and Advanced Life Support with current qualifications.
- Experience in developing, delivering, and coordinating educational programs.
