Medically Supervised Injecting Room (MSIR) - Practice Development Nurse

  • Based at North Richmond Community Health Centre
  • Permanent, Part Time, 32 hours per week

About the Role

The Practice Development Nurse will design and deliver education, training, and professional development for clinicians and practitioners working within the MSIR, supporting high-quality clinical and harm reduction services. The role involves working closely with MSIR senior leadership to identify training needs and implement programs that ensure safe and effective service delivery.

  • Deliver Basic Life Support training to all staff, and Advanced Life Support to designated staff.
  • Provide overdose awareness and management training.
  • Coordinate mandatory training sessions for MSIR staff.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to develop training opportunities and promote staff engagement.
Classification and Salary

Classifications range from RN35 with a salary of $122,907.20 per annum (pro-rata).

Your Contribution
  • Current Nursing Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Degree in General Nursing meeting registration requirements.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in relevant nursing specialty and education or related field (or working towards).
  • Minimum of 5 years nursing experience in critical care.
  • Proficiency in BLS and ALS with current qualifications.
  • Experience in developing, delivering, and coordinating educational programs.
